Mudhalvar Mahathma on the censor table!
One will wonder what is the reason behind to make a film like ‘Kamaraj- The King Maker’? We can’t stop admiring A Balakrishnan for his mettle to choose a subject like this and make it as a full-length movie. The artistic film maker once again carries a theme blending fiction and history.
Balakrishnan’s Ramana Creations is producing its second movie on Mahatma Gandhi titled ‘Mudhalvar Mahathma’. The director gives us a chance to see what will happen to contemporary Indian Politics if Gandhiji comes again alive. The film will exhibit and register that ‘Ahimsa’ and ‘Sathyagraha’ are the two immortal laws of peace.
At a time in which half of the film’s shoot is over, the film’s script is placed on the table of censor board for opinion. As per the script the movie has scenes in which modern Gandhi faces an important politician of our day. It is alleged that the director’s friends advised him to ask for censor’s opinion directly before filming, to avoid any future troubles.
Whatever is the drive behind getting the help of censor board, all we can hope is that this modern Gandhiji should reach us without much scissoring.
How Mani keeps himself cool?
Heart ailment. Ruckus created by an elephant on the sets. Had to simultaneously shoot Hindi and Tamil versions with heavyweights playing the lead. Despite all these pressures, Mani Ratnam is cool on the sets of his magnum opus Raavana.

"Mani sir has been regularly playing badminton whenever he gets time to kill. It gives him vim and vigour besides keeping him cool," says a source.
Meanwhile, it is said that the filmmaker had sent a prompt reply to a notice sent to him by Animal Welfare Board of India, raising questions how he used the elephant in shooting without the permission of the board.
