Singam Movie Songs in Sony Music
Two leaders in Kollywood – Sun Pictures & Sony Music - join hands for Suriya starrer ‘Singam’.
This marks the beginning of the association Sony Music and Sun Pictures
After redefining music marketing in Kollywood with chartbusters like Dasavathaaram, Vaaranam Aayiram, Aayirathil Oruvan, Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa and Sakkarakatti, Sony Music has taken another gigantic step to consolidate its leadership.
Sony Music has tied up with Sun Pictures to acquire and promote the music of ‘Singam’ - their forthcoming blockbuster starring superstar Suriya. Sun Pictures is the film division of Sun Network – one of the leading content Acquisition, Production & Distribution house.
‘Singam’ is a landmark film for many reasons. This is Suriya’s 25th film, and he also returns with long-time associate, director Hari. Hari had earlier directed Suriya in Aaru in 2005 and Vel in 2007. Hari’s filmography includes blockbuster ‘Saamy’ with Vikram.
‘Singam’ also stars heart-throb Anushka Shetty, Prakash Raj and Vivek, and has music by the whiz-kid Devi Sri Prasad – who has earlier delivered Telegu chartbusters like Arya 2, Varsham and Jalsa and Tamil chartbuster Kanthswamy.

Story of Singam revolves around smuggling activities taking place in Rameshwaram. Suriya plays a cop the film is expected to have the right mix of sentiments and comedy like all Hari films.
‘Singam’ is produced by Gnanavel Raja under the banner Studio Green and BIG Pictures, and has been acquired by Sun Pictures. Studio Green has earlier made ‘Sillunnu Oru Kaadhal’ and ‘Paruthiveeran’.
Surya has nearly completed his shooting for his upcoming film Singam. Surya and Anuksha along with crew members has flown to the exotic locations of Dubai along with choreographer Brindha to shot for a song.
Within 7 days the 2 duet songs were shot across the exotic locations of Dubai and Muscat with Brindha choreographing them. The original schedule to shoot two duet songs was 10 days, but because of Surya’s dedication the crew was able to complete the songs in 7 days and return to chennai. The entire Singam crew is amazed at Surya’s dedication to work.
Singam is being produced by Studio Green Productions Gnanavel Raja, uncle of Surya. Prakash Raj does the villian role in the movie and Vivek takes care of the comedy. Devi Sri Prasad has scored music for the film. The movie is all set to hit the screens in the month of April and it will be a big summer release. Singam is one of the most expected movies of 2010 since Surya is back after hat trick of Box office hits with Vaaranam Aayiram, Ayan and Aadhavan.
Silambarasan has completed Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya and is moving on to Ko, as announced earlier. However, there is buzz in the tinsel town that his proposed directorial venture Vaaliban is based on his brief fling with Nayanthara in real life.
Reacting to this, the actor has said that he was disturbed about reports that Vaaliban is inspired from his love life. He says that while the world knows about the love he shared with Nayan and the subsequent rift, Vaaliban is all about one-side love. So where is the similarity, asks Silambarasan.
He reveals that the heroine in the film will never love the hero, so the question of touting the film as a real life love story does not arise.

Trisha Krishnan paired with him after a long time. AR Rahman composes the music after his Oscar award winning, so, there is much expectation is accumulated about this movie. The never tired young hero Silambarasan now get ready for his next project “Vaaliban”. This time he will write, act and direct the movie. NIC Arts SS Chakravathy going to produce this movie. Already Silambarasan’s Poda Podi has been shelved. Actor Sarathkumar daughter Varalakshmi was announcedheroine for that movie.
Silambarasan usually prefers to use two or three heroines; he may use the same technique in Vaaliban too. There is buzz in the industry that he may consider Varalakshmi for theheroine role. Another news says Silambarasan discuss with Yoga beauty Anushka for heroine role. Anushka never agreed without knowing complete script, Silambarasan explained complete script to her and it seems Anushka satisfied with her role. Silambarasan always prefer fresh and young heroines. His earlier movies like Manmathan and Vallavan power packedglamour flicks. If Anushka would be the heroine for Silambarasan movie, it is sure there will be heavy glamour bonanza waiting for Tamil cinema Fans.
