Surya fans are counting each days since their much awaited movie Singam will release on May 28, 2010. Prior to its release, Singam trailer is surfacing on the web today.
Singam songs have already gotten appreciation. Singam starring Surya and Anushka Shetty in lead roles is directed by none other than Hari. Surya, playing the character of a brave police officer is looking awesome in the Singam trailer. The action sequences are pretty good and deserve acclamation.
One of Kollywood’s most fast rising star Surya’s 25th film will be Singam. Singam is being directed by Hari, who has earlier given hit movie ‘Vel’ with Surya. The film is produced by K.E.Gnanavel of Studio Green who has earlier made Sillunnu Oru Kaadhal and Paruthiveeran and Big Pictures.
Singam will be started once Surya completes his ongoing K.S Ravikumar’s project Aadhavan. The movie is said to be an action packed Cop movie with the right mix of sentiments and comedy like all Hari films. Tollywood actress Anushka plays the female lead in the film. The other cast includes Prakash Raj and Vivek.
This will be second time Suriya will be doing a cop role after Kaakha Kaakha and for Hari too it will be his second police story after his blockbuster Saamy with Vikram.
Devi Sri Prasad will score music for the film. VT Vijayan is the editor and Priyan is the cameraman. The first schedule will be completed in Tirunelveli, Ambasamudram, Kutralam, Karaikudi and Thuthukudi while the second schedule will be in Chennai, Hyderabad and Vizag.

There’s a lot being said about Singam, which stars Kollywood heartthrob Suriya and Tollywood import Anushka. The latest report is that the film is all set to hit theatres in June, but before that the makers are planning a grand audio launch, which will be held on May 11. A cop story with a racy storyline, Singam also happens to mark Suriya’s silver jubilee in the film industry. Director Hari has shot this film extensively in the interiors of Tamil Nadu, especially places like Karaikudi. Devi Sri Prasad has composed the music for this film.

'Singam' is a landmark film for many reasons. This is Suriya's 25th film, and he also returns with long-time associate, director Hari. Hari had earlier directed Suriya in Aaru in 2005 and Vel in 2007. Hari's filmography includes blockbuster 'Saamy' with Vikram.
'Singam' also stars heart-throb Anushka Shetty, Prakash Raj and Vivek, and has music by the whiz-kid Devi Sri Prasad - who has earlier delivered Telegu chartbusters like Arya 2, Varsham and Jalsa and Tamil chartbuster Kanthswamy.
