ENDHIRAN GETS IT FROM DIFFERENT SOURCES

Endhiran got bigger with Oscar winning sound engineer Resul Pookutty joining the team. The sound engineer is known to bring in several innovative sounds and that earned him the reputation of being the best. It is important to note that Pookutty used a bird’s chirping to bring out the warn announcement horn used by the British during the 17th century in Pazhassi Raja.

Resul is now scouting for some unique sounds for Endhiran. He is working on getting the best from different sources, we hear.


VIJAY MOVES TO A HOTTER DESTINATION

The Vijay-starrer Sura team was spotted in Ooty recently. The unit had been canning a song sequence with the lead star. The next spot in their itinerary happens to be Ramanathapuram. It is well known that Ooty is a cool destination and Ramanathapuram is exactly the opposite. With the impending summer already beginning to play havoc, Ramanathapuram is one destination that no one would want to be in.


GAYATHRI ENTERS KAMAL PROJECT

After choreographing for successful songs including movies like Aadhavan (dekho song), Kanthaswamy (Excuse me song) and Tamil Padam (Oh Maha Zeeya song), actress and dancer Gayathri Raghuram seems to be turning her attention to direction.

She’ll be seen assisting KSR in the upcoming Udayanidhi Stalin – Kamal flick to be produced by Red Giant movies. “Direction has always been my passion and I was constantly on the lookout for projects to work it out”, she said.


KARTHI FLAGS OFF CAR RACE

National Council for the visually impaired organized a car race for its members on Sunday, which was flagged off by Karthi. The event had 5 sections and saw participation from 80 visually impaired drivers. The commencement point was Hotel Savera.

The winners of the race were honored by writer Sivasankari, who distributed gifts. Earlier Karthi also addressed the small gathering who were present to witness the event.


WILL KAMAL AND RAJINI GO TO THE ASSEMBLY?

The state Information and Broadcasting Minister Paruthi Ilamvazhuthi is distributing the invitations for the inauguration function of the new Secretariat complex in Chennai. The list of invitees comprises several industrialists, film personalities and politicians. It should be mentioned here that the Deputy CM of Tamil Nadu, MK Stalin personally invited the Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh and the Congress President Sonia Gandhi.

In the state, Paruthi Ilamvazhuthi met the two icons of Kollywood – Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth to grace the occasion. It is expected that the two would make it to this event, which is scheduled to happen on March 13th.


KV ANAND WARNS KARTHIKA

KV Anand has issued a strict warning to Karthika. The director has instructed the starlet not to disclose the Ko’s storyline to the media. The warning has been issued to all the other stars including Jiiva and Ajmal, as well, but Karthika is given a stern warning because she is a newbie.

But being from a family of actors (Radha’s daughter and Ambika’s neice), the lady would sure know how to dodge questions that would reveal too much!


PRIYADARSHAN SIGNS UP REEMMA

Aayirathil Oruvan seems to have done the magic for Reemma’s career! The lady’s role in AO was critically acclaimed and she was smart enough not to sign up all the films that came her way. Reemma in fact exercised her discretion in selecting the best of films.

The buzz now is that she had bagged a weighty offer from none other than the ace director Priyadarshan. Yes, Reemma will be sharing the screen space with Ajay Devgan and Bipasha Basu in a film for which Priyadarshan will wield the megaphone.


SELVARAGHAVAN WON’T WORK WITH YUVAN

Looks like director Selvaraghavan has moved on to GV Prakash’s music. The musician has been signed up to compose the music for the forthcoming Selvaraghavan film in which Vikram stars. When asked if he would return to Yuvan Shankar Raja for music, the director said that it is not possible anymore. It is important to note that Yuvan and Selva together was a hit combination as all the music scores in Selva’s movies were smash hits.

The director says that he is looking for the right opportunity to direct Ajith and Kamal Haasan


JAYAM RAJA TO ANNOUNCE VIJAY PROJECT

There is a lot of confusion prevailing over Vijay’s 51st film. And the Vijay-Jayam Raja venture was also rumored to be Vijay’s 53rd film. However, the air has been cleared now by producer Aascar Ravichandran. The producer has said Jayam Raja will direct Vijay, which will be the actor’s 51st film. Also, the film will be produced by Aascar Films.

An announcement pertaining to this will be made during the fag end of March, says Ravichandran. He added that Jayam Raja will disclose about this project and the star cast.

JAI WAITS FOR APT

Actor Jai appears in a different get-up – sporting a beard. When asked about this, the actor said that was his get-up in Aval Peyar Thamizharasi and he does not want to switch back to his style immediately, though the shooting is over and the film is due to be released shortly.

Jai says that he is eagerly awaiting the release of APT as his role in it is very different. He adds that he expects his star status in the film industry to go up soon after APT’s release.
